“Lord, am I on the right path? Is this really Your plan?”
There are times in life that I question my purpose. Maybe because I am impatient with the process or maybe because I really do not understand why.
I am once an independent career woman, an active student leader, and a consistent honor student. But all these were somehow became worthless when I got married and got pregnant and became a stay at home mom.
This is no good. No good because I cannot accept the idea that I belong on the expense side or cash outflow of the sheet. But on the contrary, I cannot afford to go out for work everyday and missed a day with my daughter. And yes, being with my daughter is heavier than any other things now. Still, I wanted to earn. Decided to be #mompreneur with my online marketing business.
With ups and downs and with the current pandemic crisis, businesses are unstable, including mine. Luck was still on my side when my sister offered an online job for me. I got a chance to earn through a project-based social media management service (social calendar, content creation, graphic designing). I really find it fun that made me fall in love with it. I decided to continue and dig deeper into this field to be independent and have my very own client. I enrolled in a batch 18 #freelancing course of FVA Academy under Coach Keren Ame.
Things in coaching sessions are not easy, especially that I am a mom with a toddler and have a long list of chores. Who can relate? But hey, I survived and I learned a lot. And take note, this is a whole new field for me because I am an Accountant by profession. It was really a big jump! All these are because of my BIG WHY.
I am doing this not only to be financially independent, but because I wanted to let others know that you can still earn at home. And of course, to have time freedom and be with my family everyday, and lastly for my husband. He is a seafarer and it would be nice if he is home with us 24/7. Is it possible? Yes. How? Have a goal. Goal? A stay at home mom with 6-digit income!
To those who are like me, especially stay at home moms, think of your big why. What is your BIG WHY?
